A Haul and Some Exciting News!

Well, when I say exciting, I mean for me personally. Sorry if I got anyone overly excited :P A while ago, I went to an audition at Beaumaris for a musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It's been almost a year since I did my last play, and even longer since I did a musical or even danced. So I was pretty nervous. But the exciting part is, not long after filming the video below, I got a phone call informing me I was successful! Rehearsals have started, and I'm having so much fun! A few late nights, and a tired Kate, but so very exciting! :D

Anyway, enough of my personal rant. After the audition we went to Chadstone for a bit of shopping. I also needed to pick up a little Mothers Day surprise from Lush from a Facebook competition (yay for free stuff!) and got some other goodies as well.

I hope you enjoy, and thank you all for being a sympathetic ear (and eye) for my blabbering.

Stay beautiful.

Metallic and Green Makeup Tutorial

As promised, an Autumn inspired look using the Inglot AMC pigment in #85! I LOVE this pigment. While I was experimenting with it, I used it for a whole week and had a slightly different look every day! It's versatility and beauty is amazing! Ok, enough of a little rant, and on to the tutorial.

This look is really quite simple and wearable, but the pigment adds a little touch of drama and something different.

MAC Creamy Bisque
MAC Added Goodness Fluidline

Sorry about the quality of the photos, I'm working on it!

Big Haul!

So this post is a bit late... Sorry about that. They always slip my mind :P But anyway, onto the actual post.

This is a pretty varied haul from when Lachlan and I went to Doncaster Westfield for a shopping day out. It was a bit of an adventure and we had a lot of fun. We even got lost because we'd never been there before :P And other than the ridiculous parking (seriously I thought Chadstone was bad) it was an awesome day :)

Current Nail Obsession

Ok, I'm a little obsessed with nails at the minute anyway, and I have bought a lot of nail polish recently. But I have noticed a bit of a trend, so I decided it was time to do a video on one of my more specific obsessions; butter LONDON and glitter!

I own 6 Butter polishes, which doesn't seem like much to count as an obsession, but I've got them all fairly recently and they are more expensive as far as nail polish goes. Though, in Australia they are only a few dollars more expensive than the likes of OPI and Essie, it is more difficult to find them at a reduced price (eBay anyone?). And also, 4 of my 6 are glitter polishes :P

I hope you enjoy the video, and let me know in the comments if you have any Butter or glitter polishes, or what your latest obsession is :)

Burlesque Makeup Tutorial

21 Challenge day 9 look! This was more dramatic and dark compared to the rest, but still fun and feminine :) The best thing is you don't have to use pink, you can use any colour with enough pop to stand out against the black. Just pick one that compliments your eye colour :)

Products used:
Urban Decay Primer Potion
MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
MAC Carbon
120 Palette from eBay
Artdeco White Eyeliner
MAC Gesso
Artdeco Lash Booster Volumising Primer
Loreal Lash Architect 4D
Natio Mineral Powder Bronzer and Enhancer in Warm Day
Mirenesse Marble Blush in Rose Diamond
Stila Lip Glaze in Believe

Ok, so my photo's are doing something weird, and I cannot fix it :( I hope it doesn't look too bad.

St Patricks Day!

Sorry this is a day late. I actually planned on doing a tutorial, but time really got away from me this week. So instead I have a OOTD, FOTD and NOTD :D

OOTD:

I pretty much tried to find anything green in my cupboard :P This is a T Shape dress. It was a Christmas present a few years back, so I don't know where it's from, but it's just so bright and fun :)

FOTD:

Eyes:
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Sigma Flare Palette
Artdeco Mineral Eyeshadow in Gold
Mac Mixing Medium
Face of Australia High Definition Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Mac Blacktrack Fluidline
Loreal Lash Architect 4D

Cheeks:
Mac Sheertone Blush in Pinch O' Peach

Lips:
Artdeco Lifting Lip Base
Artdeco Mineral Eyeshadow in Gold

NOTD:

Natural light.

Flash.

Once again, I just had to find something green from my collection, and butter LONDON Dosh fit the bill perfectly :) I absolutely love this colour, it's a gorgeous grass green with tiny flecks of golden shimmer. Stunning :)

And that is all for my picture heavy St Patrick's Day post :) I hope everyone got their green on :P

Stay beautiful.
